Welcome To Adies Den!!!
Your host.
Thanks for dropping by :)
I am adie, which is short for Adrian. I'm a 40 yr old single guy from London, England, currently living in Norfolk, which is rural east England. Below is a not very good and not very up to date picture of me.
I'm 6 5, dark hair blue eyes, and a pound (or two?) over my perfect weight. *sigh*
I was born, on parole, in London in March 1960....and then again 2 weeks later. I work in care, currently this is night shifts at a nearby care home for autistic adults. If you ever wanna say hi then my icq # is 13168099 and my Email is at the end of all this waffle. If you don't wanna say hi well, don't, and then I'll make a point of not answering. *scratching head*

Some stuff about me.
I'm not a very hobbies orientated person. I'm not into copious amounts of weight lifting or jogging or astonishing levels of fitness and I have so far failed to make the Great Britain Olympic athletics team. I do like to read sometimes. Stephan King is my favourite writer, although I read on other subjects also. James Herriot is another favourite. Musically I like a variety of things. I avoid rap and country whenever possible though. I especially like the Beatles, who seem to have made some music to fit every kind of mood there is. Living out in the boonies there isn't a lot of wild social activity going on around me, even if I did crave this, which I don't often. The most exciting event around here is the annual Norfolk Farmers Christmas Barn Dance. They don't play a lot of Beatles here....and it doesn't smell too good either...:-( I like to travel, abroad when I can afford it. I lived for 7 years in Germany and have good friends there, and I go back to visit as often as I can. I've also made trips to the States and to Canada, both places I would love to return to sometime soon. I still haven't got over how polite the waiters & waitressess are over there, compared to here in the Uk, where they make you feel like you're very lucky if they find time to serve you at all. :-) I'm not a poet, at least I didn't think I was. Recently though, it's been brought to my attention that some of my poems are in fact, so awful, that I could legitimately stake a claim to being the worlds worst poet. With this in mind I am now developing a link page to be known as *poets corner*. I love to drive. I'm currently trying to maintain a 10 yr old Ford Granada 2l GL automatic called Aisha. She costs most of my poultry earnings in gas costs but she goes like a bomb and the stereo works great :-)

A few personal likes/dislikes etc.
LIKES: The Beatles, stones, pink floyd, supertramp, celine dion, madonna, moonlight lounge, Frank Sinatra, Led Zepp, Deep Purple, sixties stuff, a lot of other various stuff apart from country or rap. Manchester United FC, Steffi Graf, Anna Kornikova, chatting, laughing, travelling, driving, cheese, (All kinds of cheese....hard cheese, soft cheese, mild cheese and mature cheese......I even like the holes in the cheese :-) I'm a vegetarian so I do like good soya food or a nice veggieburger :-) My ideal night is to be with someone special, snuggle up & watch a good movie, then go for a walk in the rain and talk of loves, hopes, dreams and ghosts.....and then see the sunrise. On movies......varied again....My fav has to be the Blues Brothers. But there are a lot of good ones. I love some of the real oldies, particularly anything with Judy Garland in. To name a few others.....Rainman, Primal Fear, A Few Good Men, Philadelphia, Tootsie, The Graduate, Airplane 1&2, Home Alone, Jesus Of Nazareth, The Wizard Of Oz, The Unforgiven, Halloween 1&2. DISLIKES: Violence, racism, marzipan, cruelty to animals, cruelty to people, hunting, ignorance, soap operas, large phone bills, tennis players that grunt when they hit the ball, running out of cheese, writing long meaningful Emails and then the pc crashes before I've hit the *save* button, England losing at football (I'm getting used to this one though). Whaling (This comes under hunting really but it deserves it's own mention) Hot sticky weather, apple pies, people who say *very much so* because they think it's so much better than saying *yes*. Thanks for reading all this boring stuff about me :-) Seeing as you got this far maybe you could take an extra minute of your valuable time to sign my guestbook before you leave? :-)

Lauras Psychedeliscope.
Hard to explain this link. You just have to go take a look I guess. I find it very relaxing sometimes. Make sure you have a good light in the room first though. Close the door, turn up the volume.....and run this....:-) Note: This is NOT a site for epileptics. If you follow the links at the bottom of the Pschedeliscope site then you'll meet a most amazing lady called Laura. Her site is an experiance all of it's own. Wonderfully written, extremely powerful and moving. It's not a site you can glance at, you'll need time to know Laura, but definitely worth it.

GizmoGirl helped me set up this site. So if you need to complain about the mess of nonsense that it actually is, please write and tell her about it..:)
